About The Position

With limited supervisory direction, assist in the daily support of products, processes, materials, and equipment in order to achieve production goals (i.e., quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and safety). This is an on-site role based at our facility. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position at this time. Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience, training , or apprenticeships
  • Candidates will be subject to a prohibited substance test as a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and troubleshoot process, material or equipment problems to minimize down time
  • Modify existing and develop new tooling and fixtures
  • Revise existing documents, processes, and/or methods to correct or improve processes/product
  • Work with vendors/suppliers to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment
  • Write validation plans, execute plans and complete equipment validation reports
  • Assist in Value Improvement (VIP) and Employee Involvement Team (EIT) projects, implementing new equipment or processes or improving existing ones for cost savings
  • Work with Process Development to bring new products into production
  • Work with departmental customers to improve material quality and delivery
  • Train and provide technical support or direction to product builders and other technicians
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures
  • Performs equipment setup and corrective, preventive and calibration maintenance as necessary.
  • Manage inventory of tools and spare parts.
  • Coordination of both onsite and offsite calibration with vendors. In addition to analysis of out of tolerance equipment.
  • Identifies and implements corrective actions for manufacturing related issues.
  • Responsible for managing Equipment Asset Management (BMRAM) system as an Administrator
  • Responsible for attending and passing all core required BSC and site-specific training (i.e. QS Basics, RTK, Lean Training)
  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  • Assures that appropriate resources (personnel, tools, etc.) are maintained in order to assure Quality System compliance and adherence to the BSC Quality Policy.
  • Establishes and promotes a work environment that supports the Quality Policy and Quality System.
