About The Position

DPP is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry. This is an 11-month W2 contract role, requiring the candidate to work onsite in Oxnard, CA. The position involves performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including collaborating with engineers on set-up and calibration, and conducting rework and quality testing for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. The role also includes utilizing advanced programs to gather and analyze operating data for real-time adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment, and determining or assisting in the development of methods to control or modify manufacturing processes. The technician will also work with engineers in conducting experiments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• US Citizen or Naturalized Certificate.
• 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
• Drawing interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks.
• Performs rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
• Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
• Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
