About The Position

As part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, the Manufacturing Technician II contributes to the company’s mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This role operates and maintains manufacturing equipment and helps produce Hollow Fiber Membrane Bobbins at the Charlotte, North Carolina manufacturing facility. The technician follows safety and quality protocols and works with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve issues. The work takes place on an overnight 12-hour shift using a 3/2/2 schedule: work three days, take two days off, then work two days. Overtime is required as needed, and occasional weekend shifts are required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to determine and implement solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate machinery.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field.
• Familiarity with continuous extrusion or textile knitting operations.
• Experience collaborating on safety and quality regulations.
