About The Position

As a part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians, the Manufacturing Technician I, will support aerospace and spaceflight production by performing hands-on fabrication and structural assembly. This entry-level position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and a commitment to high-quality, reliable workmanship. This position will play a crucial role in the production process and contribute to the company’s overall performance in Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Attitude (QCDSA). Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 0–2 years of related assembly or manufacturing experience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Safety-focused and quality-driven.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Eager to learn and grow across functional areas.
  • Organized, dependable, and able to work under supervision.
  • Proactive, solution-focused, and committed to excellence.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Adheres to OSHA, NADCAP, ISO9000 / AS9100, ITAR, FAA regulations and company specific safety standards.
  • Internal Certifications: Forklift, Slings/Cranes, FPV, Heat Treat or others deemed appropriate.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift).
  • Able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25-50lbs regularly, and occasionally heavier weights with assistance.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to manufacturing environments, including moderate noise levels, vibrations, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required, Such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems and Material Management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mechanical aptitude in aerospace, automotive, or motorsports.
  • Forklift/material handling experience preferred (certification required).
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver work on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical fabrication using hand tools and inspection equipment.
  • Operate within one or more of the following disciplines: – Deburr – Shear – Polish – Saw – Rout
  • Receive cross-training in Assembly, Brake Forming, Heat Treat, Hot/Press Forming, and more.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, process sheets, and blueprints.
  • Handle delicate aerospace components with precision and care.
  • Conduct basic visual and dimensional inspections.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation (e.g., routers, inspection logs).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify issues and support manufacturability.
