Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician - Coatings 2 or Manufacturing Technician - Coatings 3 based out of Clearfield, Utah. As a Manufacturing Technician you work on the next generation composite structures. This job involves the fabrication of composite hardware using a variety of methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming and final finishing. It will require development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to produce product that meet our customer expectations. Tasks may be in team environments or individual based. This position may be filled as a Level 2 or Level 3 based on the qualifications outlined below.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar) for Level 2, or 4 years for Level 3.
  • Must have LO (Low Observable) coating knowledge, including materials, processes, and application.
  • Must be able to obtain respirator qualification, including ability to pass respirator fit testing and comply with PPE requirements.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must have pneumatic (air-powered) tools experience and follow standard safe operating practices.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
