About The Position

Responsible for assembling, modifying, and reworking printed circuit cards in a high-mix, low-volume lab environment to support prototype and small-batch builds. Performs hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components, operating surface mount machines, coating, rework, and touch-up using standard assembly tools, equipment, and work instructions. Verifies workmanship to applicable quality standards, documents build issues, and collaborates with engineering to resolve design or manufacturability concerns. Maintains an organized lab workspace, manages materials carefully, and supports quick-turn development efforts with flexibility, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Proficient in multiple electronics manufacturing processes, including soldering, hand tools, and ESD practices

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft suite and personal computing devices
  • Experience with surface mount technology

Responsibilities

  • Completes circuit card assembly operations on various electronic products, while ensuring compliance with required performance specifications
  • Ability to work from both oral and written instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, supporting surface mount and thru-hole circuit cards and their applicable components
  • Documents assembly data and results, provides documentation of failed products
  • Individual must be able to work under a microscope for long periods of time
  • Support OT as needed to meet schedule requirements and business needs
  • Obtain COMSEC training
  • IPC 610, J-STD, and Space addendum certifications required
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance as required
