About The Position

Perform preventative, routine, and minor maintenance on production and support machinery in assigned areas. This role also involves performing timely changeovers on production machines and associated support equipment, and assisting Manufacturing Associates when required. The technician will follow oral and written instructions, wear appropriate protective equipment, and adhere to all plant and safety rules and regulations. This position supports the facility's mission, safety, and ISO goals, acting as an active participant of the Remington Team. The role may require overtime, including extended shift hours and/or working during scheduled days off.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Must pass the company’s standard mechanical aptitude evaluation for technicians
Basic computer skills preferred to navigate menus and select, open and print documents
Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervision
Ability to read and comprehend process instructions
Ability to record pertinent process information as required
U.S. citizen or national; U.S. lawful, permanent resident; Refugee; or Asylee eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Must meet requirements of the Gun Control Act.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative, routine, and minor maintenance on production and support machinery.
Perform changeovers on production machines and associated support equipment in a timely manner.
Assist Manufacturing Associates when required.
Follow oral and written instructions, wear protective equipment, and obey all plant and safety rules and regulations.
Support the facility's mission, safety and ISO goals and directives.
Attend shift, department, and plant meetings in a timely manner.
Troubleshoot and perform light maintenance on malfunctioning machines.
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production machinery and associated support equipment on a scheduled or 'as necessary' basis.
Set tooling and make necessary adjustments to a variety of machines.
Assist engineers in developing troubleshooting for equipment, products, and processes.
Mentor Operators and Technicians with training to ensure process integrity and that 'best practices' are being utilized.
