About The Position

Perform preventative, routine, and minor maintenance on production and support machinery in assigned areas. This role also involves performing timely changeovers on production machines and associated support equipment, and assisting Manufacturing Associates when required. The technician will follow oral and written instructions, wear appropriate protective equipment, and adhere to all plant and safety rules and regulations. This position supports the facility's mission, safety, and ISO goals, acting as an active participant of the Remington Team. The role requires attending shift, department, and plant meetings promptly, troubleshooting and performing light maintenance on malfunctioning machines, and setting tooling with necessary adjustments. Additionally, the technician will assist engineers in troubleshooting equipment, products, and processes, and mentor Operators and Technicians to ensure process integrity and the utilization of best practices. This list of duties is not exhaustive, and other responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs. Good attendance is essential, and overtime, including extended shift hours and/or working scheduled days off, may be required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must pass the company’s standard mechanical aptitude evaluation for technicians
  • Basic computer skills preferred to navigate menus and select, open and print documents
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervision
  • Ability to read and comprehend process instructions
  • Ability to record pertinent process information as required
  • U.S. citizen or national; U.S. lawful, permanent resident; Refugee under 8 U.S.C. Section 1157; or Asylee under 8 U.S.C. Section 1158 or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
  • Must meet Gun Control Act Requirements.

  • Assist engineers in developing with troubleshooting equipment, products and processes as required.
  • Mentor Operators and Technicians with training to ensure process integrity and that 'best practices' are being utilized.
