About The Position

To manufacture high level integrated circuits on GaAs, and InP substrates in the 3-inch wafer fabrication clean room at Keysight Technologies Santa Rosa, CA for the use in World Class Test and Measurement equipment. The main area specifically is the Deposition & Etch Area (C1), which includes the operation of dry etch, chemical wet etch, and deposition tools of our semiconductor manufacturing processes. This is a variable work schedule (VWS) where the employee works 4 days on, 4 days off, 3 days on, and 3 days off. The hours are 9am-9pm. The VWS follows the schedule of: “Back Half Schedule” Night Shift (starting): Wednesday-Saturday and Thursday-Saturday 9pm-9am

Requirements

  • Semiconductor processing experience a plus, but not necessary.
  • Ability to learn quickly following verbal and written instructions regarding safety, chemical handling and wafer processing.
  • Ability to sustain a high quality of work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
  • Must be flexible and able to adjust to changing goals, objectives and policies of the company.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Excellent work ethics in terms of attendance, organization, and team skills.
  • Be comfortable using computers and learning new computer programs.
  • Able to stand and walk the entire shift.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and demonstrating excellent manual dexterity.
  • Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to Santa Rosa, CA
  • This position requires access to certain goods, software, technology, or technical data subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or protected individual, having authorization from the U.S. government for export-controlled items under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment dedicated to semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Be comfortable using computers and learning new computer programs.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and data system for data entry while following written instructions
  • Implementation of continuous improvement and lean principles to optimize workflow.
  • Follow standard manufacturing and cleanroom protocol, including gowning and following good operating discipline.
  • Ability to sustain a high quality of work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.
  • Excellent work ethics in terms of attendance, organization, and team skills.
  • Once proven efficient, ability to train others based on business needs.
  • Must have the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary organization by communicating effectively with supervisors, engineers, and maintenance personnel to ensure that manufacturing needs are being met.
  • Continuous standing required for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to maintain productivity during normal or long work hours.
  • Must be capable of working in clean room environments, which requires wearing full-body PPE, including head and face coverings, for periods that vary based on production schedules.
  • This includes maintaining physical dexterity and mobility to perform tasks in a controlled environment while adhering to strict contamination prevention protocols.
