The Mendota Team is looking for a Manufacturing Team Lead for the RPM 5PM-3AM shift!

Requirements

High School Diploma required and/or equivalent work experience.
Requires a minimum of one to three years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

Plano Molding Sandwich and Mendota operates 24/7.
Employees work indoors in a temperature-controlled area.
Employees will often be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
Employees will need to be alert/attentive to heavy machinery on the manufacturing floor (e.g., forklifts, hot stampers).
Are sometimes exposed to contaminants.
Must wear safety attire or protective gear daily.
May require some travel to other Illinois facilities.

Responsibilities

Monitoring the operations to ensure that all operation standards are met.
Adjusting the assembly or production process to improve the overall efficiencies.
Supporting shift Production Coordinator and all team members.
Scheduling shift daily.
Checking in employees at start of shift/conducting morning meetings.
Planning assembler breaks.
Relieving assemblers as needed.
Coordinating Work Order Changes.
Updating Pod Layout.
Updating Hour by Hour board.
Updating Schedule board (Office and at Press).
Leading shift meetings.
Reconciling work orders (Print W.O. and labels).
Assuring manufacturing processes are running efficiently, seeking resolution when deficiencies are found, and maintaining production standards.
Communicating all production, equipment, and personnel issues, problems etc. to Supervisor.
Following Code of Conduct standards and plant policies.
Carrying out all job duties safely using common sense and by following safety policies and procedures.
Providing and supporting efficient training of new employees.
Participating in Continuous Improvement Team meetings.
Following written and verbal instructions on procedures (assembly, packing, inspection, etc.).
End of Shift reporting.
Completing attendance tracker.
Recording and reporting scrap.
Completing daily metrics.
Providing a safe work environment and investigating and helping resolve any safety incident.
Being an active part of the Safety Committee.
Cooperating with fellow members and working as part of a team.
Maintaining good housekeeping of work and break areas.
Approving quality and ensuring correct product build at start of job.
Performing Daily 5-s audits, Weekly BBS audit and Daily Quality audits.
Filling out Safety and Quality alerts.
Other Duties as assigned.
