About The Position

This position is responsible for performing the function of Product Control line-feeding, material outages and shortages. The Team Lead will lead and oversee the daily activities of team members responsible for delivering materials to line-side to prevent manufacturing part shortages when material is available. This role actively supports and develops the team and team members, participates in cross-functional problem-solving teams, and continuously measures and improves safety, quality, efficiency, and cost. The Team Lead conducts daily safety and team meetings, provides training and feedback to fellow team members to help facilitate the JCB Production System, and champions and maintains 5S practices and procedures. The role also involves performing other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Four years of experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment
• Must pass applicable drug screens, background checks and pre-employment tests
• High school diploma
• Knowledge and ability to operate a forklift or tug or the demonstrated ability to learn
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented and self-directed
• Multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency
• Flexibility with work activities; available for overtime
• Basic computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
• Ability to operate various hand tools, forklift and tug
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree
• Six years of experience in material handling in a manufacturing environment
