About The Position

This role designs, installs, configures, and sustains manufacturing systems to drive lower cost, higher reliability, and consistent quality. You will develop best practices across production, elevating safety while boosting quality, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), throughput, yields, and changeover performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred, with strong mechanical, electrical, and process acumen.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, automation, and high‑speed manufacturing equipment.
  • Fluent in problem‑solving methods and data analysis; disciplined, objective, and detail‑oriented.
  • Clear, influential communicator who partners across functions, sees the big picture, and navigates ambiguity and change.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, etc.) and other engineering software/tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lift process reliability and line performance; cut downtime and scrap while increasing quality throughput.
  • Champion preventive and predictive maintenance approaches across the plant.
  • Lead and support projects within the Extrusion and Converting Departments from concept through implementation.
  • Guide maintenance teams on assigned tasks and projects; provide hands-on technical direction during trials and startups.
  • Own continuous improvement: identify savings, implement system and process changes, and contribute to long-range improvement roadmaps.
  • Create and maintain process documentation: process flows, PFMEAs, SOPs, and line capability/performance records.
  • Develop and sustain error-proofing (poka‑yoke) methods to prevent defects at the source.
  • Estimate, cost, and document engineering changes; manage configuration control.
  • Proactively prevent quality non-conformances and lead response when issues occur.
  • Provide technical input for incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
