About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing department indicators and providing clear direction to meet production objectives. The Manufacturing Supervisor will ensure accurate communication and product flow by understanding upstream and downstream departments. Key responsibilities include monitoring employee performance, providing feedback, mentoring, coaching, conducting performance reviews, and assisting employees with goal setting. The role also focuses on driving employee engagement, communicating change effectively, assessing training needs, and addressing personnel issues. Additionally, the supervisor will create and maintain department work instructions and reports, provide input on staffing and capital needs, promote safety standards, and model company values and manufacturing principles.

Requirements

2+ years of supervisory experience
Demonstrated ability to model SEL Values to others
Proven ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and openly to a diverse audience.
Proven ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work; intervene to remove obstacles as needed.
Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and product flow for up and downstream departments.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)

Nice To Haves

College degree (BS or BA)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)

Responsibilities
