About The Position

Hyve Solutions designs, manufactures, and delivers custom server, storage, and networking solutions for major cloud, social media, and enterprise customers. The Manufacturing Supervisor (Packout) oversees pack-out operations and supports efficient, safe, and quality-focused manufacturing. The role trains production leads and staff, maintains manufacturing processes, manages packaging supplies and equipment, and works with cross-functional departments to resolve shop-floor and inventory-control issues. It also supports cost control, compliance, continuous improvement, and reporting on manufacturing performance.

Requirements

Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing systems.
Effective time management and delegation skills.
Skill in debugging and root-cause analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-moving business and team environment, with attention to detail and motivation.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to satisfy all training requirements stipulated by company policy.

Responsibilities

Train production leads and staff, fostering accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
Oversee pack-out operations to ensure products are accurately packed, quality standards are met, and shipments are completed efficiently and on schedule.
Manage packaging materials, crates, and packing supplies, including inventory, proper usage, safety, and compliance.
Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, program management, IT, and quality assurance to resolve shop-floor and inventory-control discrepancies.
Implement and enforce quality-control standards and procedures throughout the pack-out process.
Manage manufacturing budgets, control costs, and identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Drive continuous-improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
Oversee pack-out equipment maintenance and calibration programs to optimize performance and minimize downtime.
Prepare and present regular manufacturing-performance reports, including production output, quality, and efficiency metrics.
