About The Position

The Harvey Spray Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paint or coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes on products, equipment, or structures. This role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of painting equipment, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2 – 5 years Quality/MFG experience in a non-electronics/non-food setting
  • Experience using Measuring Equipment (Tape Measure and Calipers required)
  • Basic knowledge in use of inspection equipment and reading technical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of quality systems and tolerances (+/-, passible defects, etc)
  • Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem solving
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level

  • Knowledge of Window Quality specifications
  • Knowledge of Home Construction

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, or priming.
  • Mix paints, coatings, and materials according to specifications and product requirements.
  • Operate spray guns, booths, and related painting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Apply paint or coatings evenly to achieve a high-quality, durable finish.
  • Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and paint booths.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and ventilation systems.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of paints, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
  • Keep accurate records of materials used and jobs completed.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors.
  • Additional overtime as required with notice, typically limited to Monday-Friday
