About The Position

The Manufacturing Spot Welder is responsible for reading and interpreting work instructions, inspecting their own and others' work for defects, and reporting any deviations from standard practices. This role requires the ability to work with components with moderately close tolerances, differentiate parts, and comply with all company and industry process safety procedures. The position involves performing other duties as assigned by management, maintaining an acceptable work pace, and ensuring the quality of their own product. A clean and safe work environment must be maintained. This role requires a self-motivated, reliable team player who is dependable and punctual, with the ability to work with minimum supervision and learn new skills.

Requirements

Must be available to work overtime as needed.
Must be willing to rotate on different jobs.
Must be able to lift automotive parts up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform bending, reaching, twisting, and standing (90%) walk (10%).
Use of basic hand tools such as box cutters.
Self-motivated reliable team player.
Must be able to work 60 hr schedule, plus mandatory overtime as required per production needs.

Responsibilities

Read, interpret, and follow work instructions and verbal instructions.
Inspect his/her and others work for defects using the final inspection sheets.
Reports problems where the ability to recognize deviation from standard practices and processes.
Be able to work with components with moderately close tolerances, and to differentiate one part from another.
Comply with all company and industry process safety procedures and practices.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Be able to maintain an acceptable work pace throughout the day.
Responsible for his/her own quality of product.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Must be dependable, on time.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to learn new skills and behaviors.
