About The Position

This is a fully remote, independent-contractor consulting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Specialist contributing to an advanced AI training and manufacturing-evaluation project. The specialist will evaluate manufacturing workflows and AI-generated technical content, and develop evaluation rubrics focused on CAM, CNC machining, and Autodesk Fusion 360. The work requires practical manufacturing judgment and the ability to assess technical accuracy, efficiency, and real-world feasibility. Prior AI experience is not required. Compensation is listed as $80–$120 per hour, although the actual compensation structure is output-based, with payment per task that meets project specifications. Task completion time may vary by experience and workflow, and minimum weekly submission requirements apply; the required number of tasks is not specified. Screening includes an approximately 30-minute AI interview followed by hiring-manager review. Roles are typically filled within approximately 48 hours, with initial tasks expected within approximately 24–48 hours after onboarding. Project scope, workload, manufacturing scenarios, and evaluation standards may change with project requirements. Work must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, institution, or other third party. The opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC, which connects experienced professionals with remote consulting opportunities.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently in a remote project environment.
  • Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, institution, or other third party.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing or applying process-evaluation rubrics is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes, CAM workflows, and CNC machining strategies.
  • Assess setups, machining sequences, tooling, and process-planning decisions.
  • Identify inefficient, impractical, or technically unsound approaches and apply shop-floor judgment to production scenarios.
  • Recommend improvements to manufacturability, quality, and process efficiency.
  • Evaluate Autodesk Fusion 360 CAM setups and digital manufacturing workflows.
  • Review AI-generated manufacturing recommendations for accuracy, practicality, and completeness; identify flawed assumptions, workflow issues, and weak technical reasoning.
  • Compare proposed processes with professional manufacturing practices and provide detailed expert feedback to support model improvement.
  • Develop and refine evaluation rubrics and repeatable assessment criteria for process accuracy, technical quality, and efficiency.
  • Validate evaluation standards against realistic CAM and CNC practices.
  • Document technical findings and process trade-offs clearly.
