Requirements

Previous experience in manufacturing and machining processes
Familiarity with mechanical products and components
Experience with scanners for parts management
Proficiency in using engine prints and schematics for quality verification
Basic understanding of technical requirements such as tolerance and fit
Proficiency in working with hand tools
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Ability to perform repetitive operations
Ability to lift at least 20lbs. and up to 80lbs.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and blueprints, with training in GD&T
Experience with milling machine tooling
Experience setting up and troubleshooting Heller and Toyoda machining cells
High School Diploma or GED Degree

Responsibilities

Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of machine tooling, including specialized and advanced variation tools, to conduct precision machining operations
Disburse all parts and maintain machining processes to specifications
Manage the dispositioning of tools sent out for regrind/repair and those received
Handle the delivery and pickup of machine tools using transfer carts
Perform process testing to ensure quality control
Set up, troubleshoot, and operate basic and specialized machine tools
Maintain accurate records related to inventory and track items through the WX system
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematic diagrams
Maintain records related to inventory, quality, and defective parts
Assist with resolution of Continuous Improvement cards and provide process information to supervisors
Ensure a safe and clean workstation environment
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor
