About The Position

This role involves partnering with plant leadership and various stakeholders to assess and improve manufacturing processes, focusing on digital transformation initiatives. The position requires expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Industrial Automation/OT systems, including design, implementation, and integration with other enterprise systems. The role also involves client delivery, conducting workshops, developing strategies, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant industry and/or consulting experience in two or more manufacture areas (design, build, sell or support)
5+ years of practical industry functional operational experience (OpEx/continuous improvement implementation) in factories, including warehouse, production, and distribution performance metrics, KPI development, shopfloor TPM/IWS deployment, OEE/MTBF/C/O analytics, integration of smart factory tools/solutions, and knowledge of workforce readiness programs.
5+ years of experience in the functional capabilities of enterprise packages (SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree
Ability to travel for client needs

Nice To Haves

Experience within Life Sciences, Chemicals, Consumer Products, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, or Energy industries.
Prior consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Partner with plant leadership, operations, engineering, and IT stakeholders to assess current-state manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
Support and/or Lead manufacturing digital transformation initiatives across process, batch, and discrete manufacturing environments.
Translate operational requirements into technology-enabled solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Facilitate workshops and interviews with plant personnel to capture business, operational, and technical requirements.
Design, implement, and optimize MES solutions supporting production, quality, genealogy, traceability, OEE, electronic batch records, and reporting.
Support and/or Lead MES platform selection, architecture design, roadmap development, and deployment activities.
Integrate MES systems with ERP, historians, SCADA, DCS, PLCs, laboratory systems, and enterprise analytics platforms.
Define manufacturing data models and workflows aligned to operational requirements.
Assess and design architectures involving DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI, Historian, and industrial communication systems.
Support and/or Lead modernization initiatives involving OT infrastructure and industrial control systems.
Collaborate with automation engineers and plant personnel to ensure reliable and scalable system integration.
Support and/or Lead client workshops, assessments, architecture reviews, and solution design sessions.
Develop recommendations, roadmaps, business cases, and implementation strategies.
Present findings and recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders.
