About The Position

HMH is hiring a Manufacturing Shop Operations Intern to support shop production through coordination of materials and tooling, shop scheduling, and Lean improvements. The intern will use SAP reports and data extracts to improve scheduling visibility, work with Product Quality Specialists on non-conformance tracking and resolution, and develop accurate dispatch lists. The internship also provides experience streamlining material staging and production setups, improving shop scheduling using SAP, and completing two Lean setup-reduction projects. The internship lasts 12 weeks, from May 24 to August 13, 2027, and is located in Houston (JFK). No relocation assistance is provided. Applicants must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States now or in the future without employer sponsorship for employment visa status; the position is not open to visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled when the internship commences and working toward a bachelor's or graduate degree at an accredited university or college.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Good interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across multiple functions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team, as project and subsystem needs require.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States now or in the future without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering major preferred.

Responsibilities
