About The Position

The Manufacturing Shift Supervisor oversees production, material flow, and quality control in the galvanizing department. This day-shift position administers company and organizational policies at the department level, supervises daily shop operations, and establishes work priorities to meet internal and external customer shipping commitments. The supervisor sets shift objectives that support divisional goals, monitors performance, ensures products meet quality standards, and arranges necessary equipment repairs and maintenance. The role also maintains accurate and timely production, order, time, and inspection records; promotes safe work and housekeeping practices; and oversees employee training. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required; occasional sitting and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds may also be required. At least six months of on-the-job training is needed to reach a minimum acceptable performance level.
