About The Position
As a Summer 2027 TS/MS Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Animal Health Manufacturing (AHM) Lab team at our Fort Dodge, Iowa manufacturing plant. Your role will involve delivering a practical solution to reducing analytical variability, a manufacturing technical project, or implementation of new lab methods. Interns will have exposure to many career paths and diverse subject matter experts, as many projects have site-wide impact.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an Engineering major including (but not limited to) Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process
- Experience in Microsoft Suites
- A willingness to learn

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Understand the Animal Health Manufacturing process, document using GMP guidelines, and understand the importance of the Quality Unit
- Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements
- Learn about quality control, fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or companion animal packaging
- Study design improvement processes
