About The Position

As a Summer 2027 Quality Control Intern with Elanco Animal Health, you will be part of the Animal Health Manufacturing (AHM) Lab team at our Fort Dodge, Iowa manufacturing plant. Your role will involve delivering a practical solution to reducing analytical variability, working on a manufacturing technical project, or implementing new lab methods. Interns will gain exposure to many career paths and diverse subject matter experts, as many projects have site-wide impact.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering major including (but not limited to) Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Process
• Experience in Microsoft Suites
• A willingness to learn

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to work exceptionally well independently and with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Understand the Animal Health Manufacturing process, document using GMP guidelines, and understand the importance of the Quality Unit
• Work within cross-functional teams to implement process or Quality Control lab improvements
• Learn about quality control, fermentation, product recovery, product finishing, or companion animal packaging
• Study design improvement processes
