About The Position

To strengthen our Global Operations Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) team, we are looking for an MSAT Engineer (EE/Test) responsible for optimized design and manufacturing of mechanical and mechatronics assemblies, modules, and complete products. In this role, you will act as the technical liaison between R&D, Quality and Manufacturing, translating product innovation into scalable, high-performance manufacturing solutions for Agilent’s analytical instrumentation platforms at the Little Falls, Delaware (Wilmington) site, and also remotely support instrument-products at Agilent's Chicopee Massachusetts and Winooski Vermont sites. You will contribute to process industrialization, technology transfer, and platform standardization, while working in a global, cross-functional environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Working knowledge of Chemistry and Physics are desired skills.
  • Relevant 8+ years of experience in a comparable engineering role, ideally including Test Engineering.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of complex technical systems and related development and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with technical drawings and CAD tools.
  • Experience in PCBA design, manufacturing and qualification processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering methods such as FMEA, DoE, DfX, Value Engineering (VE) or similar approaches is a plus.
  • Structured, goal-oriented, and self-driven way of working.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop practical, innovative solutions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, especially in international and cross-functional settings.
  • Strong ownership mindset and readiness to take responsibility for technical decisions and project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Key focus on production test planning for new products, but also contribute to evaluation of electronics designs, complex qualifications, and root cause analyses during the NPI phase.
  • Ensure application of Design-for-Excellence (DfX) across cost, manufacturability, quality, and automation.
  • Collaborate with R&D on product development, validation, and manufacturability readiness.
  • Influence design to ensure scalability, supply chain and process robustness, and manufacturability.
  • Define system-level manufacturing concepts, test strategies, and industrialization approach.
  • Lead prototype ramp, reliability validation, and evaluate launch readiness.
  • Serve as Technical Owner on critical & key platform technology processes across the full lifecycle, from development to obsolescence.
  • Ensures Value Creation across cost, quality, reliability, delivery, supply robustness, and global product engineering strategy.
  • Lead root cause investigations and systemic corrective actions for complex & cross-functional technical issues escalated from the factory team.
  • Establish risk-based qualification strategies and action plans for new step-function improvements.
  • Contribute to platform-level process standards and best practices.
  • Support development of scalable architectures for assembly, calibration, and testing.
