About The Position

We are actively recruiting candidates to participate in our 2027 On-site Summer Internship program. This program is roughly 10 weeks in length and will immerse you into the culture and operations of Lonza Portsmouth. This internship will immerse the individual in daily operations at Lonza as an MSAT Scientist. The individual will be responsible for providing support to the MSAT Laboratories or to manufacturing processes, together with other department initiatives. The individual will perform assigned duties according to specified procedures. A variety of routine work will be performed within established procedures and detailed instruction on the projects and assignments will be provided. The individual is not expected to be a subject matter expert for any aspect of the role, and it is expected that questions on tasks or issues will be raised by this individual when clarification or greater technical expertise is required. The internship program begins in May and ends in August. Potential interns must be able to commit to 40 hours per week throughout the duration of the summer internship.

Requirements

Completion of junior year (typically 90 credits) towards a B.S. degree in a Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering related degree program
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (out of 4) required
Must currently be enrolled in BS or MS Academic Program
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Self-motivation and the ability to contribute as a team member
Ability to organize, plan and execute projects
Research skills and attention to detail
Ability to commit to 40 hours per week throughout the duration of the summer internship
