This 10-week paid internship program offers college students hands-on experience, professional training, and the opportunity to make an impact through a meaningful project aligned with their field of study. As a Manufacturing Reliability Intern, the role focuses on designing and optimizing indicators for high-speed mechanisms. The intern will specifically work on producing reliability data for the PowlVac product line, utilizing frameworks from industrial engineering and manufacturing disciplines, and adhering to standards such as IEE 493-2007 and IEEE 2006 Series. Additionally, the intern will conduct a review and analysis of test data for the 38 kV product line to support product compliance. This project aims to provide essential equipment reliability data for marketing and to organize, reclassify, enhance, and analyze the 38kV product line's certification and testing database due to rapid growth.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Rising Junior or Senior continuing studies in Fall 2027.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA and strong academic standing.
  • Team player with strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a dependable, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Produce reliability data for the PowlVac product line, applying industrial engineering and manufacturing disciplines, and adhering to standards like IEE 493-2007 and IEEE 2006 Series.
  • Conduct review and analysis of test data for the 38 kV product line to support product compliance.
  • Generate technical reports including raw data and reliability metrics such as MTBF, number of failures per unit per year, downtime hours, availability, and mean time to repair.
  • Perform analysis and present results using various formats like text, datasets, curves, pie charts, and bar charts.
  • Create a technical report on the 38kV product line testing database, focusing on organization, analysis of met and required ratings, and the creation of an enhanced database with raw and enhanced data.
