During your internship, you will work closely with the manufacturing and engineering teams to support the build, wiring, inspection, and testing of UL 508A industrial control panels. You will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to real-world manufacturing operations while contributing to quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in manufacturing through applied academic coursework, prior internships, or related experiences.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow simple to complex technical instructions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Adaptable, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing safety practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to electrical or electronic systems, including use of multimeters or basic diagnostic tools.
  • Basic understanding of precision measurement tools such as tape measures or calipers.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit.
  • Previous internship, co-op, or hands-on manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on the manufacturing floor with assembly, wiring, labeling, and testing of UL 508A industrial control panels.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality, yield, and production efficiency.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer schedules and manufacturing milestones.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and help identify root causes of equipment or process issues.
