About The Position

A well-established manufacturer located in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Specialist to join their team. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment. This person will play a key role in implementing process improvements within an efficient ISO-9001:2015 compliant environment. Will report directly to the Plant Manager with dotted line reporting to the company president. An elevated level of independent activity is expected. This position is on-site.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with ISO-9001:2015 compliant environment
• Experience with failure analysis
• Experience with documentation review and approval
• Experience with equipment qualification/calibration
• Experience with defect containments
• Experience with QMS
• Experience with process validation and verification test plans, protocols, and reports
• Experience with PPAP inspections and product verification activities
• Experience with compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Experience with Lean process management

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing processes, including failure analysis, documentation review and approval, equipment qualification/calibration, and defect containments
• Ensure manufacturing activities follow QMS
• Support development and execution of process validation and verification test plans, protocols, and reports
• Perform and coordinate PPAP inspections and product verification activities
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Administer and improve quality processes, with a focus on Lean process management
