About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to oversee quality operations within a manufacturing environment. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for a quality professional with strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, and experience driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Supervisor will ensure products consistently meet quality requirements while leading a team of Quality Assurance Technicians and supporting operational excellence. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and plays a key role in maintaining compliance with quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and government data protection standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience within a regulated manufacturing, medical, military, or quality-focused environment.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience managing quality teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Experience with mechanical inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, testing equipment, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, corrective actions, and maintaining quality documentation.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Experience using ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with quality standards and company procedures.
  • Organize work assignments, monitor employee performance, and provide coaching, training, and mentorship to team members.
  • Ensure all products meet ISO 9001:2015 quality standards prior to release.
  • Oversee in-process inspections, quality monitoring, testing, and batch documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor calibration programs to ensure inspection and testing equipment remain compliant and operational.
  • Assist in creating, revising, and implementing work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality documentation.
  • Lead investigations related to nonconforming materials, customer complaints, quality incidents, deviations, and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and other cross-functional departments to improve quality and operational efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits, inspections, validation activities, and regulatory readiness.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Utilize process control methods, including Statistical Process Control (SPC), to minimize process variation and improve consistency.
  • Monitor key manufacturing metrics such as cycle time, yield, scrap rate, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and process improvement support for manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal contract requirements by safeguarding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and Federal Contract Information (FCI) in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Participate in annual security awareness and compliance training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
