About The Position

Wallenius Wilhelmsen is seeking a Manufacturing-Quality Controller at their equipment processing center in Brunswick, GA. The role involves completing pre-delivery inspections on heavy equipment and performing shipping/receiving functions. The primary goal is to maintain the quality of all equipment stored at the facility throughout its lifecycle, from receiving to shipping, ensuring it meets or exceeds customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Complete understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, assembly, installation, and other shop processes.
  • Experience operating construction and agricultural equipment, as well as lift trucks and cranes.
  • Ability to use smartphone technology to complete inspections and other electronic forms.
  • Multiple accessory installation experience with demonstrated proficiency.
  • Read and understand SOP and suggest changes.
  • Complete understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, customer requirements concerning equipment condition prior to shipment.
  • Ability to carry out specified work procedures and directions of supervisors or leads.
  • Be motivated and self-directed.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and hold items up to 50lbs.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmission.
  • Good communication skills, able to work well with others and keep good relationships with others.

Responsibilities

  • Complete pre-delivery inspections on heavy equipment.
  • Perform shipping/receiving functions.
  • Maintain the quality of all equipment stored at the facility during receiving, storage/preservation, exercise, pre-delivery/QA, final inspections and shipping.
  • Confirm that quality standards meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Maintain regular and frequent communication with both internal (Keen Customer Service, Safety, and Quality) and external customers and during audits and visits.
  • Maintain quality control records according to WW requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all quality problems to management.
  • Follow up on countermeasures to provide input to management that procedure is in place and being followed.
  • Perform other assignments as directed.
