About The Position

Tindall Corporation is a leading precast concrete manufacturer with locations throughout the Southeastern U.S. The Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector conducts pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure concrete members meet tolerances specified by shop cards and PCI. The position performs concrete testing, witnesses stressing, and establishes adequate curing controls. Ideal candidates have PCI/ACI certification. Employees are required to follow all safety and quality rules and processes to maintain a safe working environment and produce high-quality products.

Responsibilities

Inspect bed setup according to shop drawings, checking the size and placement of reinforcement, strands, plates, and structural connections.
Identify nonconforming items and notify the appropriate personnel so the product can be brought into conformance.
Perform concrete tests, including slump, unit weight, air content, release cylinders, and 28-day cylinders.
Set up steam clocks to ensure proper curing temperature.
Monitor finishing procedures in the finishing shed.
Inspect final products, document nonconformances, and notify the Engineering Department for approval or a repair work order.
Apply green tags to conforming products and red tags to nonconforming products requiring engineering approval.
Reinspect repaired red-tagged members to ensure they meet Engineering requirements.
Document and submit in writing all nonconformances requiring engineering approval.
Follow safety and quality rules and processes.
