Requirements

  • Leadership skills and ability to influence/lead people
  • Excellent communication skills at various levels of the organization
  • Understands lean manufacturing concepts and flow
  • Solid analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong financial and budgeting skills
  • Ability to lead and manage conflicts in fast paced environment
  • Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance after start of employment.
  • Obtaining a security clearance requires US Citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Managing schedules, proposal and cost account responsibility, manpower planning, identifying and mitigating risks, upholding configuration control, and reporting within Production Operations.
  • Representing Operations as a primary and lead interface to the line of business program management, engineering, sourcing, quality, finance and other functions as required.
  • Developing manufacturing program plans and schedules to ensure successful program completion with correct staffing levels.
  • Driving in problem resolution by understanding program goals, tradeoffs and schedules.
  • Conducting reviews during the manufacturing cycle to identify issues, develop work around plans to mitigate risk and to implement process improvements.
  • Coordinating shipping information with Program Manager and communicating to packaging/shipping organization.
  • Coordinating make/buy policy and supporting implementation plans.
  • Participating in proposal preparation for new business and for scope changes on the existing program.
