About The Position
Advance Storage Products is seeking a reliable, long-term Manufacturing Production Technician proficient in the Mandarin language to support its Piedmont, AL manufacturing operations. This role involves applying various technologies to install, test, modify, maintain, and repair manufacturing machinery and equipment. The position requires the ability to translate oral speech and written text from English to Chinese (Mandarin) in contexts related to industrial machine design specifications. Requirements
- Proficiency in the Mandarin language.
- Ability to convert oral speech and written text from English to Chinese (Mandarin) in industrial machine design specifications.
- Ability to use precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to work in a confined area.
- Ability to sit at a computer for an extended period.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Responsibilities
- Ensures quality and consistency in production processes by assessing, modifying, and/or calibrating equipment.
- Ensure efficiency and productivity by evaluating and modifying production processes and/or equipment.
- Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to adjust.
- Gather and arrange materials.
- Assists manufacturing operations with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and/or procedures.
- Drafts and maintains production logs, inventories, documentation, and reports including those outlining procedures, batch records, inventory, productivity, changeover, and progress.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Carefully listens to or reads content and acronyms in Mandarin.
- Understands and analyzes what is being said or written in Mandarin, and effectively and accurately translates the message, intent, and nuances being communicated.
- Reproduces statements or questions in English.
- Facilitates effective communication among individuals, companies, or other interested parties.
- Attend all required mutual meetings where translation may be needed.
- Gathers, develops, and maintains lists of terminology and information that may be used in technical translations such as industrial materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
