About The Position

The Manufacturing Production Support Lead assists the Bed Leader with directing the bed crew in preparing beds and setting up and pouring concrete members. The role ensures that steel, cables, form liner, wood, insulation, and other materials are correctly placed and that the bed is properly prepared. It also supports the Bed Leader with routine duties and special tasks while following safety and quality rules and processes to maintain a safe working environment and produce high-quality products.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Bed Leader to review daily shop cards for the day's pour and plan the preparations needed to set up the bed.
• Help communicate with support employees to ensure necessary materials are brought to the bed.
• Help direct the crew on the correct placement of wood, steel, and other materials.
• Check the bed layout against daily shop cards throughout the shift to ensure the concrete member is constructed accurately.
• Help direct and assist with pouring the bed using concrete delivery equipment.
• Help direct and assist employees to ensure the concrete member receives the correct finish.
• Work with bed crew members to strip and clean the bed and perform tasks including oiling and placing bulkheads, plates, and rebar.
• Assist the Bed Leader with completing the daily final check of the work center.
• Perform additional production team duties described by the Production Supervisor to meet production deadlines.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supervisor.
• Follow all safety and quality rules and processes.
