About The Position

Eaton’s AER FMC Fuel Motion Control Systems division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor - 1st Shift. This position will be located at our Euclid, OH facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for the overall supervision of the Euclid manufacturing site on 1st shift from the hours of 7:00am to 3:30pm. This individual will lead the manufacturing team in achieving production schedule, product quality, product cost, and employee safety goals. This role will also coordinate with all functional and service groups to meet customer requirements and drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals. The individual will also be responsible for implementing Lean Manufacturing tools within the focused factory, while motivating the team to create high performance culture. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in a Manufacturing or Operations environment.

  • Thorough understanding of lean manufacturing technologies and processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in complex manufacturing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in CNC machining or complex assembly and test.
  • Experience in Aerospace or other highly regulated quality systems.
  • Experience in a union represented environment.
  • Experience with analytical tools (Power Bi, Minitab, Excel Analytics, Tableau, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Direct all manufacturing personnel to ensure completion of customer requirements.
  • Assess performance indicators, and take appropriate actions, to ensure safety, schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.
  • Ensure that required documentation and/or system transactions (employee hours, work order postings, etc.) are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Assure that policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.
  • Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuing improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance.
  • Assure that Environmental, Health, and Safety issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
  • Evaluate operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, commendations, and improvements.
  • Specify job assignments for manufacturing personnel, and monitor performance, to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
  • Coordinate and assist with manufacturing initiatives, participate on teams in order to drive best practices across manufacturing.
  • Identify critical machine for set-up reduction and reduce set-up times.
  • Develop and implement standardized work for all critical processes in the machining, assembly, and test areas.
  • Manage on shift training execution, documentation and follow up.
  • On shift facilities management and maintenance alerts/communication to following shift.
