About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FMC Aerospace division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Production Leader. This role requires working on-site at our Jackson, MS Manufacturing facility. The Jackson facility has approximately 550 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the OEM Markets and Global Aftermarket. The High-Performance Work Team Leader will be responsible for managing and leading a team of employees responsible for assembly and test of hydraulic pumps for OEM Pump Cell. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Five (5) + years of supervisory management experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Five (5) + years of progressive experience in plant or facility operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Industrial Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Previous Leadership driving manufacturing Lean and continuous improvement projects including waste reduction.
  • Previous experience Driving continuous improvement and application through the use of EBS, BOS, Lean, RIE’s, Boot camps and HPWTs.
  • Champion the implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste opportunities of key processes..
  • Previous experience Training and developing Technicians as well as providing oversight and coaching to other team members
  • Schedule production work order releases and work in progress to meet stated goals for capacity utilization, on time delivery, and cost.
  • Ability to gather and analyze relevant data of manufacturing operations and processes in order to optimize throughput, reduce scrap, and improve quality while ensuring the safety of plant personnel.
  • Must possess effective and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement and application through the use of EBS, BOS, Lean, RIE’s, Boot camps and HPWTs.
  • Champion the implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste opportunities of key processes.
  • Achieve key BOS metrics including Productive Utilization, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, 5S+ and DPPM.
  • Lead the implementation of MESH to achieve improvement in year over year safety performance measures.
  • Train and develop Technicians as well as providing oversight and coaching to other team members
  • Schedule production work order releases and work in progress to meet stated goals for capacity utilization, on time delivery, and cost.
  • Manage priorities on shared resources to achieve the business needs
  • Prepare and deliver periodic reports to JLT for team performance.
  • Develop yearly business plan for OEM.
  • Be accountable for the utilization of manpower, materials and assembly and test equipment and relevant support equipment within assigned activities.
  • Work closely with appropriate functions to ensure smooth production of OEM operations. Collaborate with SCM, Accounting, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and other plant groups, as necessary to obtain or provide assistance, coordinate efforts, expedite resolution of problem situations, etc.
  • Participate in the development and installation of plant assembly and test policies, procedures and methods. Provide recommendations and information generated by current and anticipated assembly and test conditions.
  • Manage within the guidelines of all regulatory requirements ( e.g. FAA regulations PART 145).
