About The Position

Balanced Body is growing and expanding its operations, seeking a self-motivated and multi-tasking individual to join their team as a Crew Leader. This role involves leading, mentoring, and coaching employees, providing direction on various tasks, and working with a supervisor to set and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly goals. The Crew Leader ensures the team has the necessary training, tools, and resources. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Responsibilities include observing, correcting, coaching, disciplining, working on the production line, and making difficult decisions. The role also involves responding to challenging situations and supporting the growth and development of team members, with the potential to mentor future crew leaders. Support will be provided by supervisors, management, and HR.

Requirements

  • At least three years in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacture and 5s standards.
  • Strong attendance record.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
  • Maintain and organize a clean work area.
  • Knowledge of MS office is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Active listening skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to methodically, strategically, and collaboratively make decisions, solve problems, and foster innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system (Business Central "BC") requirements and ensure team accomplishes daily production planning.
  • Ensure completions in BC are done correctly.
  • Participate in daily production cell activities.
  • Maintain inventory in assigned departments and ensure it is properly maintained through regular audits.
  • Facilitate inventory audits with department supervisors.
  • Provide support with processing orders with the purchasing department.
  • Train new employees.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide leadership to employees, including growth development, corrective actions, and reviews, with support from supervisors and HR.
  • Maintain and follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and activities throughout the production floor.
  • Participate in all applicable safety meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain team tools to ensure operational and all safety protocols are met.
  • Adapt effectively and efficiently to production changes and work with the team to do the same.
  • Improve production performance while maintaining a high level of performance without compromising product quality.
  • Participate in interviewing, evaluating, and making recommendations on candidates.
  • Promote a positive environment by motivating the team.
