About The Position
The Hunter Company and Colorado Saddlery are seeking a highly motivated individual who holds themselves to high standards when it comes to quality and innovation. We need a creative and skilled individual to assemble custom leather holsters and help assist warehouse manufacturing needs. We are a fast-growing company ensuring the opportunity to those with the motivation to take initiative and learn new skills to advance within the company. The Hunter Company has been building top quality leather scabbards, holsters, rifle slings, belts & accessories for over 70 years. Colorado Saddlery has been building high quality saddles since 1945. We also manufacture and build pack saddles, panniers, and many many other horse tack items. At both of our companies, we strive to provide the very best for our customers and look forward to many, MANY more years of service. We believe in keeping our team close. We care for one another and continue to provide the 2nd amendment- loving community with the finest in leather products and horse equine saddles and tack.
Requirements
- Must live in Colorado, specifically, in or near the Denver Metropolitan area.
- Must have a reliable source of transportation.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields.
- Able to work in a fast paced hands-on environment.
- Able to be on your feet for long periods of time.
Nice To Haves
- Sewing experience is a plus.
- Firearm Knowledge: Very helpful
- Equine Knowledge: Helpful
Responsibilities
- Cut, shape and mold top grain leather holsters.
- Operate machinery, assembly tools, and equipment.
- Problem Solve issues that arise during production.
- Meet established time guidelines for various steps and projects.
- Perform quality control inspection of finished products.
- Utilize provided safety equipment and adhere to best practices.
- Communicate well with the team regarding holster models to fit specific guns.
