This position is a part of the engineering and support management teams. This position works with and supports all co-workers and teams within the production process. This position interfaces directly with Manufacturing Project Engineer and production to design and maintain the manufacturing process for fabrication of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Requirements

Experience working in manufacturing required
Working knowledge of productivity tools, examples may include Microsoft Office and quality management software
Ability to use hand/power tools
Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professional and respectful communication to others
Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective organization and prioritization skills
Demonstrate high attention to detail
Understanding of and ability to use continuous improvement tools
The ability to work extended hours and weekends on a rotating schedule if needed
Ability to pass standard position assessment within 90 days of employment

Nice To Haves

Experience in circuit board assembly preferred
2-year Technical degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

Develop and improve production process efficiencies for continuous improvement
Program computer-controlled assemblies, soldering, and inspection equipment
Create thermal profiles for soldering processes
Research equipment and tooling needs for manufacturing
Work to reduce cost and scrap
Use and create work instructions and manufacturing instructions
Use equipment manuals to troubleshoot and resolves system equipment issues
Assist with production machine start-up/shut-down as needed
Assists Production Machine Operators in troubleshooting equipment problems successfully, work with leadership on training and process improvements
Participates in continuous improvement activities
Complies and follows all company safety policies and procedures
Operates production equipment when production is short-staffed
Be a mentor for production operators
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
