About The Position

The Manufacturing Process Engineer works under the direction of the Aluminum Production Manager and independently creates and refines process and workflow documentation. The role develops manufacturing and testing methods to support departmental activities and contributes throughout the manufacturing process, from design through production. The position collaborates across Design Engineering, Production, Quality, Sales, Senior Management, Purchasing, suppliers, and other teams to research and improve manufacturing processes; integrate product designs, technology trends, and manufacturing techniques; support design for manufacturability; develop process documentation; and improve product and process capability, quality, cost, and efficiency. It also leads tooling and fixture improvement efforts, prototyping initiatives, and the creation and management of tooling calibration schedules. The role is based across an office, a metal fabrication and assembly shop, and customer or representative locations, including domestic and international travel. Shop work requires safety glasses and safety-toe shoes. The position includes occasional exposure to manufacturing conditions and physical activities such as lifting, standing, walking, and working at heights.
