About The Position

The Advanced Industrial Technology and Platforms (ATP) organization is a new, centralized entity at Ford designed to lead industrial innovation. Ford is undergoing a significant industrial shift, moving from building individual vehicles to creating scalable systems across them. ATP's mission is to operationalize this shift by building a system that learns from factory data, transforms it into scalable platforms, and generates enterprise business value. This organization aims to accelerate Ford's digital evolution and manufacturing excellence by modernizing operations with cutting-edge technology. The ATP organization integrates directly into manufacturing sites, partners with Skill Teams, and drives innovation from concept to full production. It comprises four vertical business units focused on specific technology stacks and four horizontals providing shared services for scale, deployment, and operational consistency. This specific role is within the Global Operations | Product Programs | Process Development Operations Team, a horizontal shared service. The role involves developing, implementing, and scaling new manufacturing technologies for product programs, aligning with Product Design (PD) and Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) strategies. The goal is to enable the delivery of an industry-leading Electric Vehicle (PHEV/FHEV/BEV) product portfolio to external customers. As a Manufacturing Process Development Operations Engineer within ATP, you will lead the development of new manufacturing technologies, processes, tooling, equipment, and engineering standards, with a focus on Powertrain Propulsion Manufacturing Systems. These systems span Electric Vehicle (EV) Core Manufacturing Vertical Integration Commodity Areas, specifically e-Drive Assembly Systems and Battery Pack Assembly Systems. The newly developed "Ford Firsts" manufacturing technologies in these areas will be extensively implemented and scaled across Ford's global EV manufacturing facilities.
