This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a vibrant and hardworking team of engineers and specialists, you will be responsible for developing and supporting the New Glenn rocket assembly processes. New Glenn is a single configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of carrying people and payloads routinely to Earth orbit and beyond. Featuring a reusable first stage built for 25 missions, New Glenn will build a road to space. You will directly support New Glenn’s as well as Blue Origin’s success through leading the development and creation of manufacturing bill of materials (mBOM), change notice submittal, work order & instructions authoring, design for manufacturability, engineering change implementation, non-conformance processing, BOM reconciliation, and work order execution, and process specifications. You will also be responsible for providing oversight for the creation and maintenance of manufacturing plans and authoring and executing work orders for outplant processing. In addition you will maintain and communicate manufacturing engineering metrics and schedules. Including creating, interpreting, and modifying work instructions and routings to convey procedures to technicians and trigger material planning. Throughout the manufacturing process, you will also identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequence and schedules.
