About The Position

This role is for a Manufacturing Planner Associate within the Production Planning and Control organization, supporting the material center. The team is responsible for driving material movements and planning to meet manufacturing operations' business objectives. The Manufacturing Planner will oversee program planning and manufacturing planning activities, ensuring effective management of material movements and workflow prioritization. This includes monitoring and managing production schedules, material procurement, and workflow prioritization, coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring data integrity in the MRP system, managing kit issues and hardware needs, implementing engineering and process changes, providing status reports, analyzing production data, and collaborating with manufacturing supervision and industrial engineering to prioritize workflow.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience in supply chain, warehousing, logistics, or related field acceptable for candidates without a completed Bachelor's degree.
  • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree from an accredited college in the field such as supply chain management, or operations management
  • Business SAP ERP experience
  • Very good organization and communication skills
  • Past experience with Buy Planning, Manufacturing and/or Make Planning experience
  • Knowledge of Material Management System (MMS)
  • Inventory Control and material handling knowledge, including: experience with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping/Transportation areas
  • ASCM Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) certification
  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing program planning and manufacturing planning activities.
  • Ensuring effective management of material movements among workflow prioritization activities.
  • Monitoring and managing production schedules, material procurement, and workflow prioritization.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management.
  • Ensuring data integrity in the MRP system and effective management of kit issues and hardware needs.
  • Implementing and managing engineering and process changes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Providing status reports and analyzing production data to inform business decisions.
  • Working collaboratively with manufacturing supervision and industrial engineering team members to prioritize workflow.
