About The Position

Our site in Chaska is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join our team. As a manufacturing operator in the machining department, you are an essential part in helping Entegris be part of the future of Innovation. The machining department produces a variety of high-quality plastic components and parts that our customers use with other components to dispense, transport, and store a range of different chemicals. In this role you will perform tasks such as operating CNC machines inspecting parts and ensuring high-quality standards by following Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team setting
• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
• Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance
• Ability to understand documented processes and procedures indicated in engineering blueprints
• Must be able to stand and walk for 50% of the shift
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Work is performed in an environment with moderate to high noise levels. Hearing protection may be required while on duty.
• Must be able to use measuring devices (Calipers, measuring tape) and role involves periodic pinching and grasping of hand tools.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn at all times in the manufacturing area. This includes safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests.

• 1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Operates manual and CNC machines (vertical/horizontal lathes, mills, grinders, 5-axis machines) to produce precision parts in accordance with work order specifications.
• Safely utilizes cutting tools to perform minor corrective operations on machined products as needed.
• Collaborates with machinists and machining supervisors to ensure that production schedule is met, and any issues are escalated in a timely manner.
• Use SAP and other electronic systems to find, record, and generate documentation throughout the production process.
• Records all output and production data in ERP (Enterprise) systems and maintain compliance with all online training and documentation requirements.
• Packages finished orders in accordance with specifications, ensuring proper protection and handling.
• Performs manual and CNC machine preventative maintenance tasks (checking/filling oil, vacuuming, changing filters, etc.) and other housekeeping duties.
• Ensures product is consistent with established specifications through Camline by utilizing different measuring tools, such as calipers and drop/height indicators.
• Escalates quality issues to supervisor or to the quality department as appropriate.
• Ensuring the highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality policy, ISO and/or other standards.
• Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughly and timely (i.e. Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions etc.).
• Maintains accurate attributes/variable charts of rejected materials.
• Integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, growth, cost effectiveness and product/system quality.
• Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities.
• Participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures and communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor.
• Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
