About The Position

As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be responsible for applying proprietary modified polyurea coating technology to tank bases in accordance with industry standards and company specifications. This role involves working in a manufacturing plant environment, collaborating with team members to ensure the efficient and precise application of coatings to enhance product durability and aesthetics.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of coating materials, application techniques, and industrial best practices.
Ability to read and understand Safety Data sheets.
Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Must be able and willing to wear a full body suit with face mask.
Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.

Nice To Haves

Proven experience as a Coating Technician in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Experience leading a team is helpful

Responsibilities

Prepare product for coating by cleaning with high pressure air.
Operate coating equipment such as spray guns, rollers, or other application tools while wearing a full-body suit and face mask.
Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to chemical drums.
Apply coatings to products, ensuring uniform coverage and adherence to quality standards.
Monitor coating process parameters and adjust as needed to meet quality requirements.
Conduct inspections on coated products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
Troubleshoot and address issues related to coating application, equipment malfunctions, or product defects.
Assist in loading and unloading trucks using forklifts, ensuring safe handling of materials and products.
Maintain and clean coating equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with production and quality control teams to meet production schedules and quality targets.
