Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs like MS Office.
  • Ability to understand and operate equipment and operator interfaces ('Man-Machine Interface').
  • Proficiency in reading comprehension, good writing and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Available to work overtime when required.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Spanish – Reading and Writing.
  • Basic knowledge of the English language (read and spoken).

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years (or equivalent) of university studies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repetitive assembly operations on intravenous drug solutions such as Sodium Chloride, Dextrose according to the Bill of Materials, Blue Prints, Specs, and SOPs, following Good Manufacturing Practices, Documentation, Quality, Safety, and Environmental standards.
  • Ensure the product has all its components.
  • Inspect the product at all stages of manufacturing.
  • Interact and rotate in each assigned work area with proper training according to Baxter processes.
  • Verify that the parts to be used are appropriate and in good condition.
  • Fill each IV bag with the specified solution as established in the SOP.
  • Manually assemble the 'enhance closure' to the IV bags as specified by the applicable Bill of Material, Specs, and SOPs.
  • Supply material to the line when necessary.
  • Organize all bags in the same position on the production line.
  • Inspect each plastic IV bag to ensure 100% quality (zero defects), e.g., lot, code, general printing, batch number, particles.
  • Organize all bags and cover with the 'over pouch' as specified by the applicable Bill of Material, Specs, and SOPs.
  • Seal each 'over pouch' with the required machine, e.g., (DOBOY).
  • Place the 'over pouches' in the specified 'truck' according to the pattern applicable to the product (applies to SSL only).
  • Inspect each bag on a black and white background to check for particles and segregate if required.
  • Ensure a defect-free product.
  • Pack units, seal, weigh, and palletize final product boxes as specified by the applicable Bill of Material, Specs, and SOPs (applies to SSL only).
  • Tasks may vary depending on the manufacturing process operation. Rotation between operations is required.
  • Maintain the work area organized and clean according to the operation procedures.
  • Report any unsafe condition in the work area, as well as any deviation in the normal operation of the equipment in the work area.
  • Comply at all times with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), company rules, and EHS regulations.
  • Responsible for continuous EHS inspections to identify and correct safety hazards and environmental aspects.
  • Follow applicable procedures, and analyze EHS incidents (including near misses) to find causes and take corrective actions.
