About The Position

The Manufacturing Operator will execute and operate machinery and master one functional area of the "Operation Services" centers. This role executes activities related to area "Changeovers" and equipment and area cleaning. The operator will perform tasks related to the inspection of materials and/or products as required, operate simple machinery, and/or assist the SR Manufacturing Operator. Knowledge in inventory control systems (SAP), manufacturing processes (e-PES), and Checklyst is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry is required.
  • Good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Documentation Rules, Occupational and Environmental Safety is required.
  • Skills in the use of computerized programs: Microsoft Office, SAP, and e-PES is required.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing from 20 to 30 pounds is required.
  • Availability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts and 12-hour shifts.
  • Flexibility to change shifts or work week, work overtime, weekends, and holidays according to business needs is required.

  • Technical Degree or Associate Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Executes basic operational activities, operates machinery in one functional area of the "Operation Services" centers and/or assists the SR Manufacturing Operator in the execution of tasks in their functional area.
  • Cleans and sanitizes machinery and/or equipment for manufacturing processes in the assigned functional areas, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintains assigned areas and/or rooms clean, orderly, and segregated, in accordance with procedures.
  • Assists in the assembly and disassembly of machines and/or production equipment during "Changeover" processes.
  • Operates forklifts and other equipment to transport materials used in the manufacturing of batches, if required.
  • Assists manufacturing technicians in the inspection of products and components, if required, and is duly trained to perform said activity.
  • Documents the activities performed: cleaning, assembly, disassembly, etc., in the corresponding records or documentation systems in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices and current documentation rules.
  • Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety, and Environment in accordance with current policies and procedures.
  • Notifies their supervisor or designated person of any non-compliance or deviation from established procedures.
  • Stays trained in the process areas of their responsibility and seeks to learn and acquire new responsibilities.
