About The Position

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Operator III to join our team in Warren, RI. In this hands-on role, you will perform advanced setup, operation, adjustment, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, including manual, semi-automated, and CNC machines, to produce precision components that meet quality, delivery, and productivity requirements. You will work from part drawings, setup sheets, work orders, and process instructions to determine specifications, tooling, and operational sequences, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Manufacturing Operator III is expected to operate with a high level of independence, technical competence, and judgment. This role applies advanced manufacturing knowledge to resolve routine and moderately complex production issues, optimize machine performance, maintain part quality, and support efficient workflow across multiple operations or cells. In addition to performing production work, this position serves as an experienced resource on the floor by supporting training, sharing best practices, assisting with process improvements, and helping sustain safe, efficient, and standardized manufacturing operations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

  • Local to the Rhode Island facility
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience required
  • Experience operating CNC, manual, or semi-automated production equipment required
  • Experience reading blueprints or part drawings and using precision measuring instruments required
  • Able to stand constantly.
  • Able to walk frequently.
  • Able to sit occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend, squat and kneel occasionally.
  • Must be able to reach outward and reach above shoulder occasionally.
  • Must be able to use fine manipulation continuously.
  • Able to handle and grasp tools/equipment and products repetitively.

  • Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry up to 10 lbs. constantly.
  • Must be able to push/pull and lift/carry from 11 to20 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to lift/carry from 21 to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Visual Acuity – Able to see close detail, distance and colors constantly.
  • May come into contact with chemicals.
  • Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment constantly.
  • This position requires access to export-controlled information and/or hardware, and candidates must be U.S. Persons that comply with all U.S. Export control laws and regulation. As such, U.S. citizenship, U.S. lawful permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or the ability to meet ITAR and EAR requirements is required.

Responsibilities

  • Produces products on various CNC or manual machines to meet or exceed production standards
  • Independently performs advanced machine setup, operation, changeover, and troubleshooting
  • Sets up and operates a wide range of manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision
  • Makes machine tool offsets, process corrections, and equipment adjustments as needed to maintain print specifications and process control
  • Load and unload machines in accordance with cycle time goals and standard work
  • Studies part drawings, setup sheets, work order instructions, and other necessary process instructions to determine product specifications, tool requirements, and operational sequences
  • Performs in-process and final inspection tasks using appropriate measuring equipment to verify product is within required specifications
  • Responsible for maintaining visual quality of the product by inspecting for defects such as dents, burrs, scratches, and other nonconformances
  • Identifies and addresses routine and moderately complex production issues related to setup, tooling, machine performance, and part quality
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of moderately complex, mechanically operated machinery
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance and basic equipment care as required
  • Assists with new job setups, first-piece verification, and process readiness as directed
  • Supports production continuity by helping prioritize work and adapt to shifting production needs across operations or cells
  • Assists in training and mentoring less experienced operators on setup, machine operation, inspection methods, safe work practices, and standard work as directed
  • Performs work in a safe manner by following all safety rules
  • Stops work if an unsafe condition is identified
  • Reports safety concerns immediately to management
  • Takes initiative and makes decisions based on known policies, procedures, and production priorities with minimal supervision
  • Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identifies production, quality, equipment, or process problems and communicates them to cell lead or Production Foreman in a timely manner
  • Provides input on process improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, productivity, setup reduction, and workflow
  • Maintains accurate production and quality documentation and collaborates with management staff and Production Foreman
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in designated work area throughout shift
  • Cross-trains in various operations and cells as needed
  • Supports workflow efficiency by helping balance work across machines or operations as directed
  • Serves as a knowledgeable resource to team members within assigned area
  • Responsible for storing and handling all Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) appropriately to prevent unauthorized access, dissemination, or use of this information or documentation.
  • Support all visitor and security policies to protect ITAR/EAR/CMMC/CUI information, documents, product, etc. from unauthorized access by informing management immediately of any concerns.
  • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in employee’s work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
