Manufacturing Operator I (Full-Time - 2nd Shift)

About The Position

Alkegen is hiring a Manufacturing Operator I to set up and operate production machinery, including presses and/or CDCH coating lines, in accordance with company standards. The operator supports continuous production, maintains part-specific production rates and quality standards, keeps machines supplied with materials, and performs basic machine or die maintenance. The role also includes completing production documentation and BPCS transactions, supporting tooling personnel, maintaining department housekeeping, and following safety policies. The posting describes this role as full-time and second shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Computer literacy, including knowledge of Excel.
Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
Metrics-driven approach.

Nice To Haves

Manufacturing experience is a plus.
BPCS experience is a plus.
Highly motivated.

Responsibilities

Set up and change over production machinery, including die setup and material changes.
Operate machinery continuously to eliminate unnecessary downtime.
Operate presses and/or CDCH coating operations, including prep, coating, sheet separating, and de-framing gaskets, while maintaining the rate required for each part.
Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to maintain quality standards.
Ensure each machine is stocked with material throughout the shift.
Assist tooling personnel in correcting potential die issues.
Perform light maintenance on machines or dies, including oiling and greasing.
Complete paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and promptly.
Assist with general department housekeeping.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned.
