Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle production, purification, and monitoring of chemical compounds using laboratory equipment and distributed control systems to meet strict MilliporeSigma customer demands.
  • Charge solids, liquids, and gases to production vessels, complete preventative maintenance tasks, and utilize material handling equipment (pallet mules) for safe staging and destaging.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex day-to-day packaging and production malfunctions, taking swift corrective action upon approval to minimize operational downtime.
  • Perform in-process analytical testing with simple data interpretations, accurately logging all information into lab notebooks and batch records following strict Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Utilize intermediate SAP knowledge to execute critical logistics functions, including entering work hours into PI sheets, managing material movements, and handling bills of materials.
  • Actively foster a proactive safety and inclusive culture by identifying unsafe conditions, participating in incident investigations, and documenting actionable preventive suggestions.
  • Champion 6S and Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives to optimize workflow efficiency, eliminate waste, and contribute directly to department goals.
  • Verify the quality and integrity of all materials and equipment, while proactively suggesting necessary revisions or drafting new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
